Showcasing operatic treasures from the museum's collection, including valuable items once used by renowned Cantonese opera artists, together with a reconstructed theatre in a bamboo shed and a variety of multimedia programmes, this gallery offers a wonderful insight into the history and unique characteristics of Cantonese opera.
An exhibition entitled "The Pearl of Cantonese Opera – Wai Ming Chu" is on display at the Artist's Corner, showcasing the highlights of costumes, postbills and photos from the collection of renowned Cantonese opera star, Wai Ming Chu, to give the audience an opportunity to revisit her stage career and appreciate her marvellous skills in both singing and acting.
