Between the Lines: Revisiting James Wong's legacy to Canton Pop
The speaker will share his fond memories of renowned lyricist James Wong. The talk will take us on a musical journey back to the 1970s and 80s with the greatest hits of TV drama theme songs written by the duo to reminisce about those bygone days when watching television was part of family life in Hong Kong.

This talk, hosted by two veteran media professionals, is a tribute to James Wong’s legacy in the Hong Kong media industry, sharing anecdotes about him and unboxing some of the best-kept secrets behind the screen. It will delve into the creation of James as the ‘Prince of TV’, tracing how he navigated both opportunities and challenges in Hong Kong showbiz, charting his course while shaping the landscape of Hong Kong popular culture.
