Bring Me Home - the Story of Hong Kong Culture, Art & Design
Hong Kong Heritage Museum
1/F, Special Gallery
18 April 2015 – 31 May 2015
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department proudly presents "Bring Me Home - the Story of Hong Kong Culture, Art & Design", part of the museum's souvenir design project series. We invited Mr Stanley Wong (anothermountainman) as the guest curator, who has joined forces with six renowned local designers, Mr Benny Au, Mr Alan Chan, Mr Sandy Choi, Mr Hon Bing Wah, Dr Kan Tai Keung and Mr Freeman Lau, to participate in this meaningful project. Inspired by collections in the Hong Kong Museum of History, Hong Kong Museum of Art and Hong Kong Heritage Museum, as well as images which evoke our collective memory, the designers have created museum souvenirs which exude local flavour. In addition to displaying the blueprints of the participating designers in the exhibition, some of their design concepts are made available as museum souvenirs for public sale. We hope visitors appreciate this initiative, and purchase and take these unique souvenirs home.
